Our Story
The story of Gospel Outreach Community Church (GOCC) began in 2010 when God gave Jeremiah “JB” Marshall the vision to start a church. However, God did not give him the direction to move forward until 2013. The vision was to start a church where people in various stages of their Christian walk can be recognized and appreciated. GOCC would join them in their walk to strengthen their relationship with God.
God released Pastor JB to kick-off the pre-launch phase of GOCC on Jan 26, 2014. GOCC began weekly Bible Studies at Pastor JB’s house on Mar 4, 2014. God also provided the opportunity for GOCC to initiate their outreach ministry as a means to pour back into the community. On Oct 12, 2014, GOCC moved into the Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center in Woodbridge, VA. This allowed them to host monthly services on 2nd Sundays. GOCC fully launched on April 5, 2015 which involved transitioning to weekly Sunday services.
Our Name
Gospel Outreach Community Church is a non-denominational church. We wanted our name to reflect our passion. We have a passion to teach and preach the Word of God. We have a passion to reach out to the people God sends us to or allows to cross our paths. We have a passion to be involved in our community and their needs. We have a passion to be a church as God intended church to be.
Our Motto
You will often here members and regular attenders of Gospel Outreach Community Church recite our motto of “Your Walk…Our Journey!!!” We a church that believes everybody must have a personal relationship with God and they must walk the path God has set before them. We also believe that they don’t have to do it by themselves. They have the whole GOCC family to journey with them during the good and bad times, their failures and successes.
