Our Low Is Not God’s Limit

Isaiah 41: 10
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Many times the weight of our life situations causes us to feel as if we’ve fallen so low that God can no longer reach us. Our problems become the evidence we need to convince ourselves that of three things: God left us, we have to do it this on our own, God doesn’t care.

God has not left us.  The level of impact our problems have on us does not mean that God has left us. Deuteronomy 31:6 states that “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” God will go with you. If you soar, God is with you. If you fall, God is with you. It is our hurt, pain, disappointment, depression, anger, frustrations and various other things that cause us to PUSH God away. So, let’s not push God away when we face our adversities. God wants to go with us.

We don’t have to do it on our own. Life has taught us that others are not dependable. We’ve been let down by people who were supposed to be there for us. They weren’t there when we needed them the most. We apply this mindset with God. Therefore, we don’t reach out to Him because our assumption is that He is not dependable. You don’t have to do this on your own. God is dependable because God has a purpose for you even in this. Gen 50:20 states that “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”  God has good intentions even others don’t. Let Him work His plan.

God cares for us. We often feel as if God doesn’t care about our problems. We feel as if He has bigger problems to take care of or others things to work on. We begin to belittle the care that God has for His us. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast “all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” It didn’t instruct us to apply a rating system to the care and give him the ones that high on our list. Give Him ALL of the things that causes your anxiety or worry simply because He cares enough for you that He even wants the little things.

Therefore, do not think that you can reach an all time low that put you out of the reach of God. God’s arms are not that short to reach you. His eyes are not that blurred to see. His ears are not that damaged to hear you. His heart is not that broken to receive you. Keep God close to you. That’s exactly where He wants to be.
